Based in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, I am a qualified Person Centered Counsellor / Psychotherapist. I earned my Counselling Certificate and Diploma from the University of Chichester in 2019. I am a registered member of the British Association Counsellors and Psychotherapists and follow their professional guidelines. I am fully insured and comply with General Data Protection Regulations.
I work in private practice at my home and as an associate counsellor with the charity Barnardo’s LINK. I am trained to work with adults who have been affected in any way by adoption, fostering and special guardianship.
I have experience both personally and professionally of working with Neurodivergence.
Previously I worked in the National Health Service for more than 20 years as a Registered Nurse. During my last 10 years of nursing I worked as a Community Nurse and then gained my Degree in Public Health and worked as a Health Visitor. I have extensive experience of working with adults and young people. I have also worked with mothers who experience post natal depression. I have a special interest in working therapeutically with parents. I like to work with the Arts in various ways if this interests you. I have a passion for nature and animals.
I absolutely love being a therapist and working with all kinds of people. I believe in the counselling process and how it can help us to know ourselves better and grow from this.
