About Me

Based in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales, I am an experienced Person Centered Counsellor / Psychotherapist. I studied at the University of Chichester in West Sussex and gained my Counselling Certificate and Diploma. I’m a registered member of the BACP British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and work within their professional framework and guidelines. I’m fully insured to practice and also registered with General Data Protection Regulations body.

I work as a sessional counsellor with the charity Barnardo’s LINK. I am trained to work with adults who are affected in any way by Adoption or Special Guardianship.

I have experience both personally and professionally of working with Neurodivergence. I work as a Mental Health Mentor supporting university students in receipt of DSA (Disabled Student Allowance) with Cosmic People.

I also work therapeutically with Asylum seekers via Barnardo’s.

I am working as a trauma informed sessional counsellor with New Pathways across Wales supporting those who have experienced sexual violence and abuse.

Previously I worked in the National Health Service for more than 20 years as a Registered Nurse. During my last 10 years of nursing I worked as a Community Nurse and then gained my Degree in Public Health and worked as a Health Visitor. I have extensive experience of working with adults of all ages. I have also worked with mothers who experience post natal depression. I like to work with the Arts in various ways if this interests you. I have a passion for nature and animals.

I absolutely love being a therapist and working with all kinds of people. I believe in the counselling process and how it can help us to know ourselves better and grow from this.
