About Me

I’m Selma. I offer you a warm welcome to my site

I am a fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor / Psychotherapist. I studied at the University of Chichester in West Sussex and gained my Counselling Certificate and Diploma. I’m a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and work within their professional framework and guidelines. Im fully insured to practice and also regisitered with General Data Protection Regulations body.

Previously I worked in the National Health Service for more than 20 years as a Registered Nurse. During my last 10 years of nursing I worked as a Community Nurse and then gained my Degree in Public Health and worked as a Health Visitor. I have extensive experience of working with adults of all ages and have worked closely with older people and with families.

As a Person Centred Counsellor my aim is to offer and build an unconditional therapeutic relationship with you based on trust, genuineness and acceptance. I will not judge you, no matter what you bring to counselling sessions. This can enable us to work together freely and gives you the opportunity to know yourself better and make changes.

I have much experience in working with older clients and mothers who are experiencing anxiety and depression. I am happy to work with you and whatever issues you bring. I like to work with the Arts in various ways if this interests you. I have a passion for nature and animals. Being a dog lover I have 3 English Cocker Spaniels.

I am located in a quiet leafy street with free on street parking
